My main role at North East Middle School is to support all students academically, socially, and emotionally; as well as to provide opportunities for college and career exploration and education. I meet with students individually and in small groups. I also teach a guidance class to all 7th grade students. I utilize brief solution focused counseling techniques, as well as a person centered approach. Students in need of more intensive therapy services will be referred to our Student Assistance Program.

- The Student Assistance Program (SAP), is a program designed to identify and assist students who experience barriers to learning. The SAP team is comprised of teachers, administrators, school personnel, and drug & alcohol and mental health professionals. The SAP team will help students and families find services within the school, and if necessary, the community. Anyone can refer a child to the SAP team. To do so, please follow this link to the Student Assistance Referral Form.
